Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to every booking made on Kopa Ballone. By completing a booking you accept them on behalf of everyone flying with you.
01About these terms
Kopa Ballone is a booking platform. We list balloon operators, show you their verified details and prices, and take your reservation on their behalf.
The flight itself is operated by the company you book with — that operator is named on your booking confirmation and is the party responsible for carrying you.
02Eligibility and bookings
- You must be legally able to enter a contract in your country of residence.
- Most operators require every passenger to be at least 6 years old and able to see over the basket edge. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Pregnant passengers are generally advised not to fly. Always read the specific operator's policy on the booking page before you pay.
- One booking covers the passengers named on it. Names must match the government ID you will present on the day.
03Price and payment
- The price shown at checkout is the total price. Taxes and mandatory fees are included — we do not add charges afterwards.
- Depending on the payment method you choose, payment may be taken immediately or authorised and captured later.
- Where a flight requires a deposit, the remaining balance and its due date are shown on your booking confirmation.
- Currency is displayed in the currency shown at checkout. Your bank may apply its own conversion rate.
04Cancellation and refunds
Each operator sets its own cancellation window, and it is shown on the booking page before you pay. In general:
- Cancel more than the operator's full-refund window before departure and you are refunded in full.
- Cancel inside the partial window and the operator's stated percentage is refunded.
- Cancel inside the no-refund window, or fail to show up, and no refund is due.
The exact figures for your booking are always on your booking detail page. Where a refund is due, it is returned to your original payment method within 10 working days.
05Weather, delays and rescheduling
{% trans "Balloons fly only inside strict government wind and weather limits. Flights commonly start at or after sunrise because thermal conditions are required."}
If an operator needs to move your flight to a different date or time, you will be contacted as early as possible. You may accept, reschedule, or cancel for a full refund.
06Your responsibilities
- Arrive at the meeting point at the time stated on your ticket. Late arrivals may be refused with no refund.
- Follow all safety instructions from the pilot and crew at all times.
- Tell the operator before you fly about any medical condition that affects your safety in a basket.
- Do not board while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
07Reviews
Reviews on Kopa Ballone come only from passengers who completed a real booking. Reviews that are fraudulent, offensive, or about someone other than the operator are removed.
08Liability
Ballooning is an adventure activity and carries inherent risk. We are not liable for losses that arise from your own acts, from failing to follow crew instructions, or from events outside anyone's reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on the day you made the booking, and it is recorded against your booking reference.
